labs
James, Michael-did you see this? https://lnkd.in/gx6Nc_MD
We’ve been shouting about this for ages now even the labs are calling it out too! Some cannabis labs are grading on a curve – and by “curve,” I mean inflating potency while letting pesticides slide by like they’re the cool kids at the VIP rope.
A recent investigation in California found that 25 out of 42 products legally sold to consumers were loaded with pesticides above legal limits. Yup, those “clean” labels? Total fraud. As one cannabis enforcement officer put it, “It’s the Wild West of testing right now, and consumers are the ones paying the price.”
Imagine paying top dollar for “fire” only to find out it’s barely passing midterms and is laced with chemicals. It’s not just sketchy – it’s dangerous.
The industry needs standardized testing, consistent oversight, and penalties for labs playing fast and loose. If cannabis wants to be taken seriously – as medicine or a recreational product – we can’t keep letting labs operate like a corrupt college professor handing out A’s for bribes.
Time to clean house, folks. Let’s keep asking the hard questions: Is that “top-shelf” really safe, or are we just getting smoke and mirrors?
Tune into F'nAround on WURE-FM Underground Memphis Radio and streaming after everywhere and Fnaround.com to hear us shout about it—and maybe our guests will throw in some fireworks too!

Imagine an advocate for the underserved calling a company that hindered inclusion and diversity efforts through their actions “wonderful”—the hypocrisy is staggering, and honestly, so sad. I wonder, is it a lack of research or just a paycheck? Any thoughts, nuEra Cannabis? Any thoughts Gina? Any thoughts IWC?
Here’s some research and receipts because I’d never assume the worst: https://lnkd.in/geggypmy
