The Power of Social Media: From Privacy to Publicity
This week started with a bang—my viral video hit over 1 million views! It also gave the The FuckArounds managed by 312ALL 200k plus streams. But that wasn’t the only milestone. After a recent post here, all of my social media accounts were flagged, with reports flooding in. I had to appeal to keep my content online, including that viral video. Reddit even shadowbanned me! In the CannaConsigliere thread, where I’m one of just three members, my posts have been flagged as "bot-like", I'm the MOD, after one received over 350 views in the private community. I’m clearly not a bot, but it seems the truth can make some people uncomfortable so they stalk and flag. It did bring a lot of allies to light though who don't want me to stop.
It’s ironic—I never intended to push my social media so hard. Initially, I was content with the press releases Juan did. But when we got blacklisted from further PR, I pivoted to posting everything on social media. With all of my accounts set to private, my content was only reaching about 15,000 people. Then nuEra Cannabis wanted to see everything I posted, so I made the decision to go public. Now, everything will be out there—my audience has exploded to over 1.5 million people across all platforms between myself, companies, and artists! I've got enough content to keep the momentum going for years, from work-related updates to stories about alleged misconduct, drug-related issues, and even personal anecdotes. Add in the music and CannaConsigliere contracts, and this has been and continues to be quite the ride.
What excites me most is that this journey is far from over. I miss the privacy of my personal accounts, but when anonymous individuals start sending you things to boost your platform, it becomes a lot more fun. So, to Cresco Labs, Green Thumb Industries (GTI), Planet 13 Holdings, Inc., Curaleaf, Cookies, and the others(Can't remember everyone I have information sent to me about, sorry if I forgot to add you): I’m enjoying every minute of this. Craft cannabis cares, while corporate doesn’t. And though my platform started with one company, nuEra Cannabis, now it’s about all of you—and your stories are even more perfect for social media. The pictures don’t do it justice, and my friends can’t wait for their invites.
Due to the post I did Monday, yesterday I had a meeting with a publisher who liked my numbers, the glimpse of this story, and my past social stories. So going to see how I feel about that, I hate writing but all roads must lead to Rome right? Anyone want to write an 80k word book about me? I will give you a Ouija board to contact my skeletons. On that note, any company that works with, sells to, or allows these entities to sell their products, or even attends events as vendors with them, has free reign to be a subject of my posts and submissions. Transparency is key—and I’m here to provide it.
Stay tuned—there’s a lot more coming!
