To all watching and paying attention, when you shine a light, people move. But be careful who’s watching. Damage stays contained unless you step into the line of fire and hurt yourself.
This morning was… interesting. COPA reached out about the situation but refused to speak if it was on record or recorded. Only one officer showed up for our scheduled meeting and would only talk on record if we stayed in the lobby.
After hearing a full disclosure of the timeline, involved parties, and evolving events, the officer agreed to reschedule after taking it up the chain, because suddenly, new information changed everything.
Here’s the thing, when people play games, they often try to sacrifice good people. But good people don’t deserve that. They should know exactly what they’re being asked to do before the repercussions follow them for life.
Will update when the meeting is rescheduled. We may be F'nAround but collateral damage to uninformed parties has never been the goal, no matter what the other side wants.
That said… how many branches of power in Illinois need to be implicated on record before this stops?
This is starting to feel like a really, really bad movie.
