6 months

6 months ago, Michael, Mo, and I at F'nAround were ironing on heat transfer logos onto t-shirts, throwing on sport coats and sunglasses, and walking into a cannabis award show like undercover agents in a bad heist movie. Full-on Blues Brothers mode, just trying to get our names out there.

Fast forward to today, and we’re not just getting media passes, we are our own version of the media, covering anything and exposing everything. Crazy how things change.

This only crossed my mind because I got an interesting update today…

Turns out a licensed cannabis MSO was listed as a sponsor for an event that ended up getting shut down by CPD.

No idea why CPD stepped in, but a quick glance at the post I was sent shows free entry, 18+, which raises some serious questions.

So let me get this straight: the Democratic Party of Illinois and legislators want to raise the legal age for hemp to 21, take it out of the hands of small entrepreneurs, and hand it over to licensed cannabis operators… but supposedly those same operators can sponsor unregulated events where access was allowed for 18+, even if they tried a loophole where they had a “designated 21+ lounge”? I’m sure they “didn’t allow” anyone under 21 to purchase or consume, but the optics of this still raise questions. It’s an unregulated event where sales are allowed outside of a licensed dispensary…

How does that make sense?

My lawsuit and the fact I had to take it federally because of state-wide systemic corruption, retaliation, and coverups is one thing, but letting cannabis operators blatantly break rules while regulators look the other way? And the hemp industry isn’t throwing a fit? Thoughts on this Illinois Hemp Business Association? Illinois Hemp Growers Association? Hemp Industries Association? Midwest Hemp Council?

Is this what “protecting the kids” looks like, JB Pritzker? Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation? Illinois Department of Agriculture? Or should I start tagging every politician who pushed to raise the age or hand hemp over to corporate cannabis? Or do you all want to go ahead and share this message for me? Maybe we should start looking at what other bills they’ve been pushing too.

Or are we finally going to be honest and admit this was never about protecting kids… it was and is about crushing hemp?

Because this smells like favoritism.

I NEVER say anything without receipts. So if you’d like to be sent what I was sent dm me but I won’t give attention or increase sales to anyone who doesn’t deserve it.

F'nAround because it’s fun and you can’t fix stupid… Speaking of stupid, that episode might drop tonight or tomorrow… honestly, I don’t know or care, but it’s a good one. FnAround.com

Because we aren’t just F'nAround, we’re F’nExposing and having fun while doing it… I think we are going to learn to make ice cream soon.
